People don’t follow truth. They follow the conclusions that flatter them.
Performance collapses where belonging replaces integrity.
Humans build reality from assumptions — not from truth, not from evidence, not from clarity.
They build their lives on the conclusions they want to believe, and once a conclusion feels rewarding, they will defend it with their entire identity.
It doesn’t matter whether the conclusion is real.
It doesn’t matter whether it’s logical.
It doesn’t even matter whether it’s sustainable.
As long as the conclusion promises advantage, people will abandon every ethical standard they ever claimed to have.
People don’t need proof.
They don’t ask questions.
They imitate, perform, copy gestures, copy vocabulary — believing that mere proximity to “advantage” makes them part of it.
This is not an opinion.
This can be demonstrated at scale.
Entire cities can behave like this. Entire networks. Entire industries.
Humans build their conclusions on gossip, on assumptions, on imagined rewards from imagined authorities. And the moment they believe they might gain status, protection, relevance — they sacrifice integrity without hesitation.
The performance becomes spirituality.
Performance becomes collegiality.
Performance becomes “growth”.
Performance becomes identity.
Nothing rooted. Nothing verified. Nothing understood.
People structure their lives around performance networks — hierarchies built not on competence, but on the illusion of belonging.
But the cost is catastrophic:
The internal architecture collapses.
The psyche fractures.
Behavioural symptoms emerge that are, in many cases, therapeutic in nature.
Humans no longer recognise their own competencies.
They no longer recognise what they belong to.
They no longer recognise the situations they walk into — consciously or unconsciously.
And they have no shame in discarding their own structure if the network gives them enough external scaffolding to lean on.
This happens in private life.
This happens in business.
This happens in relationships.
It reveals the same truth everywhere:
People are not seeking enlightenment.
People are seeking belonging.
And the irony is brutal:
The very same people who abandon their inner structure for external validation are the ones who go on stages to speak about “self-awareness”, “personal development”, and “depth”.
This is the paradox of our generation — a society of individuals who preach independence but collapse without a crowd.
